On behalf of the P&F committee I would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who contributed to the great success of the inaugural St Luke’s Anglican School ART FEAST. I would particularly like to thank Mrs Suzi Carson who was principal coordinator of the wonderful event. I believe the Art Feast brought the St Luke’s community together to celebrate not only art, but additionally achievements in hospitality and music as well as supporting the school community in which we participate. The Art Feast will be back next year as we have already had requests from Artists.
Final figures are still being calculated, but I can say the weekend was a very successful venture. Thank you so much for supporting this event and additionally contributing to the support of the Breast and Prostate Cancer Association of Queensland.
I would like to call for expressions of interest to attend a Self Defence workshop for women. We plan to hold this event between now and the end of July (a date yet to be set). Mr Paul Pedersen will conduct the workshop at St Luke’s on a weekday for a duration of 3 hours. The cost is $30. You don’t have to be very active to participate! Would you please text Pammie urgently if you are interested on 0427870942. We require 25 participants to run the event.
The Second Hand Uniform shop urgently requires more coat hangers. If anyone has any to spare please drop them in on a Monday or Friday.
The P&F is looking forward to seeing everyone at Rock Pop Mime on Friday evening. We will run a bar and coffee / cake stall as usual.
The next P&F meeting will be held on Wednesday the 8 June commencing at 6.30 pm in the Board Room. We would love to see you there.
Once again thank you to the community of St Luke’s for all the support you have shown towards the P&F. Together we are helping our students.
